Personnel and social responsiblity
The guiding principle for our personnel functions is to strive for a balance in the triangle of customer, shareholder and employee interests. Achieving such a balance while the business climate and conditions of competition change, secures our long-term economic success and marks our sustainable personnel management.
In this context, great efforts and professionalism are applied to employees’ section, retention and development. This also refers to finding remuneration and working conditions for the market situation and the employees alike. Considering the interests of our employees and our customers, efforts for flexibility play an ongoing key role.
The Group’s development toward a network organization is also expressed by the plurality of cultural identities of the subsidiaries operating under the Lufthansa umbrella, and the strengthening of decentralized decision making structures.
Corresponding to Lufthansa’s internationality, employees outside of Germany benefit from their respective local legislation and conditions. At any rate, ILO norms are in practice for all countries where Lufthansa employs staff.
