Reducing noise emissions in the vicinity of airports is one of the central challenges for aviation. For many years, Lufthansa’s commitment to cutting noise emissions despite traffic growth has been successful.
Lowering noise emissions is a complex task that requires cooperation between different players. Apart from continuously modernising its fleet with quieter aircraft, Lufthansa works together with partners in industry, administrations, universities and large-scale research institutions to promote the development of noise reduction measures.
