Making travel more confortable –
the prime objective
Locating all Star Alliance member-airlines in a single terminal is the principal objective of the “Move under one Roof“ concept pursued by the airline grouping since its foundation. It brings immense benefits to passengers of Star Alliance airlines as they pass through a common terminal at hub airports. The concept allows alliance carriers to share the use of airport facilities, such as check-in areas, lounges, office space, baggage claim and transfer services.
Passengers flying with Star Alliance airlines can expect huge improvements in the travel experience: Shorter walkways and simplified processes reduce connecting times when transferring from one alliance member to another. Passengers can escape the hub-bub of airport activity in restful Star Alliance lounges, relaxing in an exclusive atmosphere before boarding a connecting flight to destinations around the globe. Aside from catering facilities, the lounges are equipped with “Business Centers“, complete with computers, printers, fax machines and WiFi Internet connectivity.
The “Move under one Roof“ concept has already been implemented at eleven airports in the Star Alliance global network: In Europe, those airports include Munich, Charles de Gaulle in Paris and London’s Heathrow. In the years to come, the concept will be extended to Cairo, Barcelona, New-Delhi, Mumbai and Los Angeles airports.
